let's talk about making money on periscope and like I said today you hear on Periscope we're going to be discussing making money on periscope and what you can and cannot do to be able to get to that point now a lot of people think that you can't make money on periscope as,
I was saying in the intro there there's no Buy Now button there's no you know CTA that you can give out there's no opt-in magnet and all that sort of stuff but the fact of the matter is when it comes down to it there are all those things right there on periscope it just comes down to you and how you manage your scopes and more importantly what you do to manage your audience as well because at the end of the day you're in command here they're tuning in for you and that's what it's all about so,
I'm gonna give you a few quick tips to start really thinking about making money on the scope and then,
I'm gonna give you a massive massive reality check in regards to making money period in business but even more so importantly on periscope,
okay so I'm gonna go over the content for about five minutes or so five or six minutes as you know me now doctor scope is always quick and short and sharp and all the rest of it and then I do Q&A at the end and we just hang out and have some fun alright so okay here we go tip number one okay or maybe realization number one here on periscope is that to be able to sell anything on periscope you must have an audience on periscope now there's a big difference between having viewers okay and then having an audience would you agree there's a big difference between having viewers and having an audience any bloody idiot can get people to watch him on periscope you can do stupid things you can do funny things you can entertain you can tell jokes you can do magic whatever the case may be the difference between a viewer and an audience member is that that audience member is going to be tuning into you regularly because of what your the value that you're providing them right it's like a favorite TV show often say that our scopes are like our TV show aren't they we produce we direct to rewrite we edit what we don't edit because there's no editing but we we ultimately publish our own TV show every time we pop up on periscope right so you want people tuning into your TV show on Paris all the time every time you come on you want the same people there that's what creates fandom that's what creates community that's what creates that audience,
okay so that's the first tip is don't think about oh you know ultimately don't think about making money by selling stuff to people or to viewers think about creating products and services and experiences for your audience members and to be able to build a business or other to be able to build an audience here on periscope or anywhere else for that matter for anywhere else for that matter blogging podcasting YouTube videos whatever the case may be in order for you to do that you've got to be consistent and anybody that's watched duhkha scope more than once will probably have heard me say if you want to do well on this platform or any other platform or just business and bloody general if you want to do well you've got to be consistent in what you're doing so consistency will lead to that audience okay so that's the first thing is understanding that to be able to make money on periscope you must build an audience don't try and sell to casual viewers it won't work,
okay so that's the first thing the second thing is to create content here on periscope that is focused around the products and the services that you sell as a business owner okay so think about that logically just for a minute there's no point in talking about a particular subject on periscope if you want to make money out of it if you aren't selling something that's related to that subject so I could get on and talk about how I you know how I used to skateboard when I was a teenager and talk about all the cool skate parts that I went to in England when I was growing up but the fact of the matter is I have nothing to do with the skateboard industry therefore be a complete another time waster for me right so talk about something that you sell talk about you know the topics the the mindset the you know the the benefits and the features of using like-minded products and then obviously people are gonna be that much more turned on to the idea of putting their hand in their PayPal And Cashapp account and sending you money online for the products and the services that you actually create and sell,
okay so that's the second tip right there is to create content specifically for the scope for your audience right here on periscope specifically for periscope okay that will be based around the products and the services or the experience maybe you're an event organizer organizer or whatever it is that's around what you are selling okay be relevant be relevant in the content you're creating a bit more easier for you to be able to sell stuff and then the third thing one second all right good coffee today the third thing is to create some sort of scarcity some sort of urgency when you are actually selling on periscope and we'll go into you know some of the few bits and pieces you can do in regards to actually selling on the scope but bottom line is that you've got to try and create scarcity and urgency in what you're doing grant cardone does this brilliantly he's a sales trainer and people tune in to grant to learn how to sell better plain and simple that's all he does that's his thing sales sales sales okay and so what he does is he creates products and modules and training packages and things like that and what he does is he then scopes about those things the art of the clothes and all that stuff and then at the end of the scope he'll say and just because you reach the end of the periscope broadcast,

so tip number three is when you are actually selling whatever it is you're selling okay could be an e-book commute of course could be a membership site could be consulting or coaching whatever the case may be it could even be live event tickets just make sure that you create that scarcity and that urgency right there okay now before I go into my reality check here I want to show you or give you a couple of ideas how I've personally made money on periscope in the last 3-4 months of using it pretty much daily okay so first and foremost what I've done is I've sold over and this is a real number I'm not bullshitting I've sold over sixteen thousand dollars worth of live event tickets okay live event tickets the tropical think tank which is my annual mastermind event that I hold here in the Philippines each year we're sold out for 2016 and I can directly attribute for ticket sales to the Scopes that I've done right here is four thousand two hundred dollars per person so almost sixteen thousand dollars has come in directly sorry almost seventeen thousand dollars has come in directly from periscope audiences okay so bear that in mind that's the first thing I've done the second thing I've done is I know for a fact I have sold our boatload of copies of my book virtual freedom because my reviews on Amazon have gone up my sales have gone up I can see them coming in and obviously at the end of the day you talk about your book on online anywhere someone is going to go ahead and buy it

I'm gonna take questions reality check is this if you are not providing value to your audience in some way shape or form they will not buy from you it doesn't matter how amazing you think your product to your service is the fact is if you're not providing value they will not buy from you embrace the audience engage with the audience hang out with the audience but most importantly provide value to your audience here on periscope it's absolutely detrimental to your reputation your brand and to your sales numbers for you to expect to just hop on periscope talk a load of crap for half an hour and expect to make money out of it it ain't gonna happen provide value everybody provide value simple answers to people's questions or solutions to people's problems or even better do both that's it that's a reality check it amazes me how many people have tweeted me and reached out to me I call make money I can't make money I now look at their scopes,
I just hop in and look at them quickly and I'm like dude you're walking down the street the cameras jiggling around like crazy you don't have a microphone on it's windy I can't understand half of what you're saying and you're talking about your freaking dog like don't you know I mean with the greatest of respect to you and your mutt don't expect to be able to walk down the street in a windy environment with no mic and having some sort of weird epileptic fit and talk about your bloody dog for half an hour and expect to make money out of it though what's wrong with you seriously get serious with this stuff it's it doesn't make sense you know for me for some people so bottom line is let's do a quick recap okay number one okay number one make sure that you that you build an audience don't expect to just sell to viewers okay number two create content that's based and focused around what you sell and number three don't forget to create some sort of urgency or scarcity by doing one-off offers coupon code down those etc etc and the reality check was just please for the love of all things that are holy provide value to your audience if you do that you will make money on periscope and everywhere else that you're active online I guarantee it okay now it's not my recording
